KAPOLEI, Hawaii — Kaiser Permanente welcomed its first patients to its new West Oahu Medical Office at Kapolei. The 40,000-square-foot facility brings new and enhanced services to members in the growing West Oahu community.

Located at 401 Kamokila Blvd., on the corner of Kamokila Boulevard and Kapolei Parkway, the facility offers primary care, mental health services, laboratory, pharmacy, and prevention and wellness programs. New and enhanced services include urgent care with extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; women’s health services; and general radiology, mammography, and ultrasound imaging.

The West Oahu Medical Office at Kapolei is Hawaii’s first NextGen Health Hub, which features state-of-the-art technology that maximizes the value of members’ visits, evolves in response to their changing health care needs, supports care team collaboration, and contributes to improving quality of care.

“Kaiser Permanente has served West Oahu since 1983 and we understand the growing needs of the community,” said Greg Christian, president of Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Health Plan and Hospitals. “Our new facility brings the convenience of urgent care, lab, pharmacy, and the latest technologies under one roof, right here in Kapolei. Through continued innovation, infrastructure, and accessibility, we are committed to improving the health of West Oahu.”

“This is a wonderful day for the community and all of us at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii,” said John Yang, MD, president and medical director of Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. “With this marvelous new facility and the community partnerships we seek to develop here, we hope to further address disparities in care and help achieve health equity for the people of West Oahu.”

Since 1983, Kaiser Permanente’s membership in West Oahu has tripled to over 70,000 members. Located on 5.4 acres of land, the West Oahu Medical Office at Kapolei is 3 times larger than Kaiser Permanente’s Kapolei Clinic. The new facility includes a community engagement center where members can gather for classes, programs, and events. It incorporates Native Hawaiian plants within the landscaping surrounding its grounds and features Native Hawaiian art inside the facility to create a soothing environment designed for healing.
