Groundbreaking at new medical offices in Pueblo

The new Pueblo North Medical Offices will replace the existing facility and represent our commitment to the Pueblo community.

Officials from Kaiser Permanente and the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce break ground on the new Pueblo North Medical Offices.

Kaiser Permanente broke ground September 13, 2024, on its new Kaiser Permanente Pueblo North Medical Offices. The state-of-the-art facility will provide an enhanced experience for current and future Kaiser Permanente members and staff. It is projected to open in 2025.

The new medical offices at 3107 Bonaventure Court will replace the existing Pueblo North Medical Offices leased space at 3670 Parker Blvd.

Kaiser Permanente has outgrown the existing Pueblo North Medical Offices. Since the facility opened in 2009, the number of members who call the offices their medical home has grown more than 575%.

“We are proud of how our relationship with the Pueblo community has grown over the years and pleased to further our investment in Southern Colorado,” said Mike Ramseier, regional president for Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. “We are excited to open this new chapter of caring for Pueblo with this new, state-of-the art facility.”

The construction also will enhance patient care, said Jeffrey Krawcek, MD, president and executive medical director of Kaiser Permanente.

“Everything about this building is designed to elevate the care experience for our Pueblo patients,” Dr. Krawcek said. “From the number of services under a single roof to a floor plan designed for doctors and care teams to better collaborate, the new Pueblo North Medical Offices highlight our emphasis on leading the way in value-based care.”

Improved patient and staff experience

The new Kaiser Permanente Pueblo North Medical Offices offer several improvements for members, medical providers, and staff:

  • There will be 13 exam rooms in the new building compared with 8 in the existing facility.
  • The floor plan is designed for more effective, efficient, clinical staff interactions, which ultimately benefits patients.

No detail will be spared in the construction process. Kaiser Permanente incorporates into its building designs things like lighting that makes patients and visitors feel comfortable and low-emitting carpet that helps them breathe easier.

The new Kaiser Permanente Pueblo North Medical Offices will feature:

  • Dermatology
  • Endocrinology
  • Imaging
  • Laboratory
  • Pharmacy
  • Primary care
  • Rheumatology

As with other Kaiser Permanente facilities, the Pueblo North Medical Offices will feature local art.

In addition to brand-new facilities being built in Pueblo, Parker, and Lakewood, Kaiser Permanente is investing in 8 Front Range communities with state-of-the-art, brick-and-mortar improvements to enhance the health care experience for our members and patients. Plans also include extensive renovations of some of Kaiser Permanente’s largest medical offices in Colorado.
