Industry news source Modern Healthcare named 2 of our leaders to its 2026 list of the 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives. Andrew Bindman, MD, and Maria Ansari, MD, FACC, were honored for improving health through innovation and clinical excellence.
Their selection reflects the growing impact of our model. Our approach helps us get better results, reach more people, and lower costs.
Dr. Bindman serves as executive vice president and chief medical officer for Kaiser Permanente. He leads our work to improve quality and ensure our members get the care they need. His work also connects our care delivery, research, and innovation teams. He’s a physician, researcher, and health policy leader. He’s a past director of the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Dr. Ansari leads the Permanente Medical Groups that provide care to our members in Northern California, in communities across Oregon and Washington, and in the mid-Atlantic states. She is also co-chief executive officer of The Permanente Federation. She’s a cardiologist and physician executive who champions high-quality care, innovation, and value-based care.
