RENTON, Wash. — According to the Washington Health Alliance, the Washington Permanente Medical Group has achieved the highest ranking for overall quality of care, according to the WHA Community Checkup 2026. Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state get care from Washington Permanente Medical Group physicians. The recognition highlights Kaiser Permanente’s dedication to providing exceptional, patient-focused care and coverage.
The Washington Health Alliance evaluates the quality and value of health care throughout Washington, comparing performance metrics on a national scale.
“Washington Permanente Medical Group has earned a top ranking for quality for 19 consecutive years — reflecting our unwavering commitment to delivering care that is both high-quality and affordable,” said Dorian Reid, MD, interim CEO and executive medical director for the Washington Permanente Medical Group. “Setting a strong standard for exceptional care in our state is something we take great pride in.”

It’s a testament to our teams, who work every day to deliver excellent care in every patient interaction and across many measures of performance,” said Cynthia Dold, regional president of Kaiser Permanente Washington.
In the commercial category, Kaiser Permanente Washington and Washington Permanente Medical Group’s Quality Composite Score indicates that it would outperform more than 80% of the other organizations and facilities.
Kaiser Permanente Washington and Washington Permanente Medical Group ranked first in the Quality Composite Score, and within the top 10 for Total Cost of Care, which measures:
