Kaiser Permanente tops Colorado ‘Top Doctors’ list

5280 Magazine named 332 Kaiser Permanente physicians to its annual Top Doctors list. And Kaiser Permanente is recognized as having the most doctors in 10 specialties.

Antigone Parrish, MD, ob-gyn, and Sybil Dessie, MD, urogynecologist, are named Top Doctors who care for all that is you.

Kaiser Permanente is home to more Top Doctors than any other health care organization in Colorado, according to 5280 Magazine.

A total of 332 Kaiser Permanente doctors were named to the magazine’s 2024 Top Doctors list.

Kaiser Permanente also had the most Top Doctors in 10 medical specialties:

Cancer care Orthopedics
Cardiology Surgical care
Women's health Gastroenterology
Primary care Psychiatry
Pediatrics Urology

Having so many KP Colorado physicians recognized on the Top Doctors list is a testament to the exceptional care provided by our top-notch physicians and the teams they lead.

“Access to affordable, high-quality care has always been a part of our core mission at Kaiser Permanente,” said Mike Ramseier, regional president of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. “To have so many of our physicians recognized as the best in their specialties is an honor. It shows how dedicated our doctors are to the health and well-being of their patients.”

Practicing medicine the way it should be practiced — with a focus on doing what’s best for patients — is the reason so many doctors choose to practice at Kaiser Permanente.

“What makes Kaiser Permanente unique is that our physicians have the freedom and support to practice quality, evidence-based medicine in a collaborative environment,” said Jeff Krawcek, MD, president and executive medical director of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. “We brought value-based care to Colorado in 1969, and it translates into better outcomes for our patients, a lower total cost of care, and reduced economic barriers to access, which all increase health equity.”

Doctors recognized as 5280 Top Doctors are nominated by other Denver area physicians. They’re evaluated on professional qualifications and reputation, leadership experience, and many other factors.

Primary care doctors must be 8 years out of medical school, and specialists must be 10 years out of medical school to be eligible for the Top Doctors recognition.
