New Pueblo North facility opens to serve future generations

Members, physicians, staff, and community leaders celebrated the new medical offices in August 2025 with a community grand opening and a ribbon-cutting event.

For nearly a decade, Kaiser Permanente member Jill Valdez has seen her primary care team, picked up her prescriptions, and addressed other health needs at the Pueblo North Medical Offices.

“I'm never excited to come to the doctor, but I'm excited to see my doctor,” she said. “He's a good doctor.”

The building where she saw Alfred Arline, MD, was fine. Until recently, those offices were at an older, leased facility on Parker Boulevard. They were shared with other medical offices.

Now, Valdez has something else to look forward to: the new state-of-the-art Pueblo North Medical Offices at 3017 Bonaventure Court in Pueblo, Colorado.

“I love it,” said Valdez, “It's nice. It's very detail-oriented.”

Valdez was one of the first patients on Monday, August 25, 2025.

“It’s been a lot of work, but our physicians and staff are excited,” said Carissa Buderus, medical office administrator. “Our patients are going to be amazed at this building.”

Celebrating the new Pueblo North Medical Offices

About 100 Pueblo community members got a sneak peek of the offices at an open house on Saturday, August 16.

Care and Share Food Bank, which Kaiser Permanente supports via community health grants, provided free produce. At a teddy bear clinic, kids helped give their favorite stuffed animals a checkup.

Kaiser Permanente physicians and staff were on hand to give tours and answer questions about the new facility.

Dozens of community members joined Kaiser Permanente leaders and the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon-cutting event on Monday, August 25.

About the new building

The new and larger medical offices will replace an existing leased space at 3670 Parker Blvd.

More space will help meet the needs of a growing number of Kaiser Permanente patients and members in the area. Since the original Pueblo North Medical Offices first opened in 2009, an additional 4,500 members now call the facility their medical home.

Kaiser Permanente’s new Pueblo North Medical Offices

Kaiser Permanente’s new Pueblo North Medical Offices opened on August 25, 2025.

Because the Pueblo North Medical Offices are designed and owned by Kaiser Permanente, the new building allows for additional technology and better custom spaces for collaboration.

“When we open new Kaiser Permanente medical offices, they are tailor-made to the needs of our current and future patients and our physicians and staff,” said Jeff Krawcek, MD, president and executive medical director of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. “These new Pueblo North Medical Offices are our commitment to care for this community for many generations to come.”

The new Kaiser Permanente Pueblo North Medical Offices offer key new features for patients, physicians, and staff, including:

  • 13 exam rooms compared to 8 in the former facility
  • Floorplans designed for more effective, efficient, clinical staff collaboration and seamless patient care experience
  • Elements like improved lighting and low-emission carpet so visitors can feel their best while getting care

The available services will include:

  • Endocrinology
  • Laboratory
  • Medical imaging
  • Pharmacy
  • Primary care
  • Rheumatology

The new Pueblo North Medical Offices are part of a larger commitment from Kaiser Permanente, the state’s largest nonprofit health plan and a leading medical provider. The organization announced in July 2025 it was making its largest brick-and-mortar investment in Colorado in 15 years.

“We are positioning ourselves to reach more Coloradans, and our new medical offices — including Pueblo North — are a big part of our plans,” said Michael Ramseier, regional president of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado.

Kaiser Permanente opened the replacement Parker Medical Offices in July. The new Kaiser Permanente Lakewood Medical Offices are scheduled to open in early 2026. Kaiser Permanente also recently announced early plans for rebuilding its Westminster Medical Offices.
