Jeff Krawcek, MD, is executive vice president and chief executive officer for the KP Medical Foundation.

In this role, Dr. Krawcek partners with Permanente Medical Groups and Kaiser Permanente market leaders to advance ambulatory performance across access, quality, and service. He oversees KP Medical Foundation operations for the Permanente Medical Groups in Colorado and Washington and drives collaboration to scale best practices and accelerate evidence-based care — strengthening Kaiser Permanente’s value-based model and integrated approach to care delivery.

Dr. Krawcek has been a pediatrician since 2001. He was one of the architects of the KP Medical Foundation operating model and has served on the leadership team since its inception in 2022. He was executive medical director for Kaiser Permanente in Colorado from 2021 to 2025. Prior to joining the Colorado Permanente Medical Group, he practiced at Dean Medical Group, now SSM Health, in Madison, Wisconsin. After moving to Colorado in 2006, he worked as a pediatric hospitalist at 6 hospitals in the Denver metro area. Dr. Krawcek joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 and has served in leadership roles across human resources; professional development; workforce wellness; communications; equity, inclusion, and diversity; primary care; and behavioral health.

Dr. Krawcek has been board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2001. He earned his Master of Business Operational Excellence from The Ohio State University. Dr. Krawcek completed his residency at Children’s Wisconsin, earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin. He holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification.
