HONOLULU — Kaiser Permanente Hawaii’s commercial plan leads the state in breast and cervical cancer screenings, prenatal care, comprehensive diabetes care, and childhood immunizations according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance Quality Compass. (Quality Compass® is a registered trademark of the National Committee for Quality Assurance, or NCQA.) The state’s largest integrated care organization is the top performer in 57 HEDIS® measures of care, more than any other health plan in Hawaii as evaluated as part of the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set.
Kaiser Permanente Hawaii was also rated in the top 10 health plans nationally in 16 quality measures, including statin therapy for patients with diabetes, follow-up after hospitalization for mental health issues, and comprehensive diabetes care relating to kidney disease monitoring.
