The importance of childhood vaccinations

Vaccines save millions of lives each year. The clinical evidence showing that childhood vaccines are safe and effective hasn’t changed.
Kaiser Permanente’s doctors and other clinicians continue to recommend the childhood vaccines that have been recommended for years. They offer proven, life-saving benefits and play a critical role in protecting children and communities from serious diseases.
We will continue to provide coverage and access to all childhood vaccines. We’ll work closely with our members, including parents and guardians, to make sure children get the protection they need.
Our clinical recommendations are based on the full body of scientific evidence. We continually review guidance from federal, state, and local health agencies, as well as medical specialty societies.
We encourage our members to speak with their doctor if they have any questions about whether a vaccine is right for them or their child.
