A path forward for Alliance bargaining

We’re putting your interests up front and upholding our Labor Management Partnership commitments.

This message was sent to Alliance-represented employees on Thursday, January 15.

Today, Kaiser Permanente provided the Alliance of Health Care Unions with a solution to move forward with contract bargaining.

Please watch this important video message from Greg Holmes, chief human resources officer, addressing:

  • Our progress in active bargaining with local unions, despite the continued challenges we face at the national table and in negotiations with UNAC/UHCP
  • Our proposal to move all open issues at the national bargaining table to the local tables
  • A path forward that would enable Alliance unions to reach full tentative agreements and ratify contracts for each of their bargaining units, without having to rely on national bargaining
  • Our willingness to resume bargaining at all UNAC/UHCP local tables once they provide the information we have requested so that good faith bargaining can resume
  • Our commitment to providing a historic 21.5% wage increase and enhanced benefits to Alliance-represented employees over the length of the contract and maintaining consistency and fairness for every employee

This path supports our common goal of providing the wage increases and enhanced benefits you have been waiting for and deserve, while supporting affordability for our members and patients.

If you are ready for bargaining to move forward through negotiations at your local table, please let your union representatives know.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to our mission, our patients, and to each other.
