Kaiser Permanente’s investments and integrated approach are making a difference in mental health care access for our patients and members.
Since 2020, Kaiser Permanente has invested more than $1 billion to train and license new clinicians, expanding mental health services in California and making access to our high-quality mental health care easier and faster — without requiring referrals.
This investment included adding resources and growing the workforce of mental health professionals by 26% in California and expanding our network to nearly 35,000 therapists, including internal and external providers.
