BARGAINING UPDATE
Kaiser Permanente and NUHW held their 24th bargaining session on February 6. While the meeting didn’t produce any new tentative agreements, both parties exchanged proposals on a range of issues.
Kaiser Permanente presented 2 proposals. The first was on Status Definitions. The second covered Bilingual and Preceptor Pay and proposed an increase in both differentials.
NUHW presented a series of proposals on Differentials and Reimbursements, Student Loans, ETO Program, Retirement Plans, and Associates. These proposals will be reviewed for future discussions.
Kaiser Permanente’s offer on the table provides excellent compensation to our NUHW-represented employees while protecting our members’ timely access to high-quality and affordable mental health care. Our offer has no takeaways, and it increases wages. Our offer enhances the comprehensive benefits our mental health professionals enjoy — including improved employer-paid basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment benefits for individuals working 32 hours or more per week. Our offer also provides therapists with more protected planning and preparation time.
Our next scheduled bargaining dates are February 12, February 17, and March 6.
