During National Nurses Week, we thank our remarkable nurses and celebrate the many roles they play in providing high-quality, compassionate care.

Our extraordinary nurses transform care and improve lives.
Every day, our nurses display their commitment to the members and communities we serve. Our nurses’ influence can be seen across all of Kaiser Permanente.
They provide care at the bedside, and they are leaders, researchers, and innovators. They use the latest clinical research to guide and improve their practice. Our culture of nursing excellence results in better quality and safety outcomes for patients.
A growing number of our nursing teams have had their efforts officially recognized. Eleven Kaiser Permanente hospitals have earned the highly sought-after Magnet Recognition® for nursing excellence. Several other Kaiser Permanente facilities are readying themselves for this achievement, which involves all nurses, doctors, and staff throughout the facility.
Fewer than 10% of hospitals in the United States have attained Magnet designation, issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
We empower and engage our nurses through collaborative relationships with doctors and other members of the care team. We encourage them to further their own professional development and entrust them with autonomy, while giving them the support they need.
During Nurses Week and every week, we thank all our nurses and salute them for leading with purpose.
