Mile High United Way awards our work in the community
Mile High United Way named Kaiser Permanente among its 2026 Community Champions for our year-round commitment to improving the health of the community.

The Mile High United Way 2026 Social Impact Award recognized Kaiser Permanente for “volunteerism, supply drives, and initiatives that address the root causes of health and well-being.”
The Social Impact Award recognizes an organization for thoughtful approaches to community impact over the previous year.
The organization also cited Kaiser Permanente’s $10,000 contribution to the operation of Mile High United Way’s new Community Corner. The Community Corner — which is opening summer 2026 on Park Avenue in Denver — will provide families with fresh groceries and a connection to Mile High United Way’s other programs, such as free tax preparation and 211 Colorado services.
“Whether it’s through employee volunteer events or our community health grants, improving the health of the communities we serve is part of Kaiser Permanente’s mission,” said Cortney Eisses, interim regional president of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. “We hope this recognition inspires others in the community to continue to join us in that work.”
Kaiser Permanente’s community impact in Colorado
From January 2026 to July 2026, Kaiser Permanente employees have:
- Contributed more than 3,300 volunteer hours to 126 community organizations across Colorado
- Donated nearly $78,000 to nearly 175 Colorado community organizations, with Kaiser Permanente matching $35,000 of those donations
- Supported Mile High United Way’s Back to School Bash with donation collections in Kaiser Permanente medical offices
In 2025, Kaiser Permanente contributed more than $120 million to community health support, partnerships, programs, and charitable care and coverage to improve the health and equity of all Coloradans.
Kaiser Permanente has long supported Mile High United Way. Since 2020, Kaiser Permanente has contributed nearly $950,000 in donations and sponsorships to Mile High United Way.
