Carole Bartolotto, RD

Carole Bartolotto, MA, RD, is a registered dietitian and an exercise physiologist. She grew up in the Los Angeles area and was always curious about diet and its effect on health. As a child she saw the impact of a poor diet on the health of her family and thought there must be a better way than drugs and surgery. Her belief was, and still is, that what you eat each day can have a profound effect on your health, and is the key for both prevention and treatment of most chronic health conditions.

She currently works as a senior consultant for Kaiser Permanente in the Regional Health Education Department in Pasadena, California. She is the nutrition expert for the Southern California Region and is responsible for nutrition and heart disease related publications, posters, and other projects.

She is also a part of the Healthy Workforce team to improve the health of employees. She has spoken at many Kaiser Permanente symposia and external conferences on topics such as heart disease, plant-based diets, weight management, trendy foods, popular diets, healthy eating, high blood pressure, low carb diets, and more.
