Ashley McClure, MD, FACP, is part of Oakland’s Salud En Español team and is passionate about sharing her “lifestyle as medicine” practice with patients and doctors. This includes mindfulness programming for patient and physicians, as well as plant-based nutrition for individual and environmental health.
Dr. McClure seeks to help others understand how climate change is related to our health, and believes doctors have a special obligation and opportunity to convey that message to build public support for climate-protection action.
Dr. McClure attended medical school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Washington in her hometown, Seattle. She then worked in primary care in a safety-net community clinic in Washington, D.C., before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2016.
