Leslie S. Heisz joined the boards of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in January 2015 and serves on the Audit and Compliance Committee and the Finance Committee.
Heisz has extensive senior-level investment banking experience, advising C-suite executives and boards of directors on complex matters including business strategy, mergers, acquisitions, financial restructurings, capital structure, and debt and equity financing.
Heisz held senior roles at Lazard, Wasserstein Perella, and Salomon Brothers, over her 23-year career as a mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance advisor. She began her career as an information technology consultant with Price Waterhouse.
Heisz serves on the boards of Edwards Lifesciences Corporation and Public Storage. She also serves as a trustee for 2 clusters of funds advised by Capital Group. She previously served on the boards of Ingram Micro, Inc., the world’s largest distributor of computer and technology products; Towers Watson, a provider of people, risk, and financial management services; HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc., an AA-rated specialty insurer; and IGT (International Game Technology), a leading electronic games supplier. Heisz also lectures periodically at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Heisz holds a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles, in economics-systems science, and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management with concentrations in finance and accounting. In 2015, the National Association of Corporate Directors named Heisz to the NACD Directorship 100, which recognizes leaders in corporate governance.
