Judith A. Johansen, JD, has served on the boards of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals since April 2006. She serves as chair of the Finance Committee and is also a member of the Executive Committee, the Quality and Health Improvement Committee, and the Compensation Committee.
From July 2008 to 2013, she held the position of president of Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon. From 2001 to 2006, Johansen was president and CEO of PacifiCorp, also in Portland — she joined the company in 2000 as executive vice president of Regulation and External Affairs. From 1998 to 2000, she served as CEO and administrator of Bonneville Power Administration, and from 1996 to 1998 was vice president, business development, at Avista Energy (formerly Washington Water Power Co.). She was also a partner in the Tacoma Washington law firm of Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell.
She also serves on the boards of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., Roseburg Forest Products, IDACORP, Inc., and Alorica Inc.
Johansen received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Colorado State University and a juris doctor degree from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College.
