David F. Hoffmeister

David F. Hoffmeister joined the boards of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in November 2014. He serves as chair of the Executive Committee and the Governance, Accountability, and Nominating Committee and is a member the Compensation Committee.

From 2004 to 2014, Hoffmeister was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Life Technologies Corporation, a leading supplier of biotechnology research tools to academic institutions, governments, and companies around the world.

Prior to joining Life Technologies, Hoffmeister was a senior partner with McKinsey & Company where, over the course of 20 years, he held various leadership positions and served clients in the health care, private equity, and chemicals industries on issues of strategy, operations, and organization. Before joining McKinsey, Hoffmeister held financial positions at GTE and W.R. Grace.

Hoffmeister currently also serves on the boards of Celanese Corporation, ICU Medical, Inc., Glaukos Corporation, and StepStone Global Inc.

Hoffmeister received an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in business from the University of Minnesota.
