Baked apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, almonds, and raisins
A sweet way to enjoy more fruit. Great with walnuts too!
Servings:
8
Ingredients
8 large tart apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup slivered or sliced almonds, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup raisins
2 tablespoons butter
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Wash then core the apples. Place them in a baking dish.
Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, almonds, and raisins together. Fill the holes in the apples with this mixture.
Top with a little dab of butter.
Bake the apples for 45 to 60 minutes or until they are tender but not mushy.
