New executive director of IT service and delivery named

Greg Carlson joins Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii after serving as a director for regional application delivery in the organization’s Colorado Region.

HONOLULU — Greg Carlson is the new executive director of information technology service and delivery at Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii and Maui Health System, the organization announced. Carlson will be accountable for all IT products and services delivered to the Hawaii Region and Maui Health System.

Carlson joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 as a director for regional application delivery in the Colorado Region. Since then, he has held a number of operations and leadership positions including director of offshore vendor management, and chief of staff to the senior vice president of Kaiser Permanente’s regional IT operations organization. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, he was a senior manager at Accenture and programmer and development lead at PacifiCare. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder.

“Greg has deep experience and understanding of complex information technology systems in a variety of applications, from global enterprises to government agencies to Kaiser Permanente’s own systems and infrastructure,” said Donna Scannell, vice president and regional information officer for care delivery technology services at Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii. “His expertise will allow our care teams to continue providing high-quality, coordinated care to our patients.”
