These “fries” are actually baked, but they’re a satisfying substitute for the fast-food favorite.
Large fries
No, these don’t come in a little cardboard pocket. But these baked “fries” are a healthier and equally delicious option.
Servings: 8
Ingredients
4 large unpeeled russet potatoes, cut into long fries 1/2 inch thick
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 large cloves garlic, smashed then minced finely
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Preheat the oven to 425 F.
Toss everything in a large bowl or right on the baking sheet, arranged in a single layer.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until crispy brown. Turn the fries over once halfway through as the part touching the baking sheet gets browned faster. Serve hot.
