Baked apples

Baked apples

So easy and tasty. Pick up some apples at your local farmers market. Toss them with a little added sweetness, bake, and serve. I ate some with yogurt and it was delicious.

  • 4 big apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. 
  2. Toss the apples with lemon juice then with the sugar and cinnamon. 
  3. Spread them out mostly in a single layer in a large baking dish. 
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes stirring a couple of times to avoid scorching. 
  5. Serve over/with whatever you want.
