Risant Health is a nonprofit, charitable organization created by Kaiser Foundation Hospitals with a transformative vision to improve the health of millions of people. By increasing access to value-based care and coverage, Risant Health will raise the bar for care that is based on better health outcomes. Working together with its health systems, Risant Health will bring the expertise, tools, technology, and services needed to improve health outcomes and succeed in value-based care.

While the term “value-based care” has taken on a variety of meanings in the health care community over the years, we believe it means delivering the right care at the right time to maximize quality and make effective use of resources. It also means considering total health, including mental health and a focus on disease prevention. And it means looking outside the walls of the hospital and addressing community health factors, chronic disease, nutrition, education, and social health to keep people healthy in the first place.
