Jeff Collins

Jeff Collins is president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals of the Northwest. In this role, Collins oversees all of Kaiser Permanente’s care delivery and health plan operations in Oregon and markets in Vancouver and Longview/Kelso, Washington. The Northwest Region operates 2 hospitals, 52 medical offices buildings, including 21 dental offices, and has 634,363 medical members and 287,016 dental members.

Collins reports to the group president for markets outside California, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals.

Collins joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008, serving most recently as senior vice president, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals, for the Northern California market. In this role, Collins co-led Northern California’s 14 service areas comprised of 21 hospitals and 257 medical offices and serving 4.5 million members. He also led several regional functions including workplace safety and the Labor Management Partnership and was the liaison for all shared services, including supply chain.

Prior to this, Collins was senior vice president and area manager in 3 Northern California service areas, most recently the East Bay Service Area, where he closely partnered with his colleagues to consistently deliver on organizational objectives in quality, growth, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and safety. 

Over a more than 35-year career in health care, Collins held progressive leadership roles in multiple health care organizations demonstrating an ability to lead complex systems in a variety of dynamic markets in California, Florida, and Michigan. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Collins provided strategic, financial, operational, and staffing leadership at Bon Secours Cottage Health Services, including the critical transition to Beaumont Hospitals. Earlier in his career, he served in chief executive officer and chief operating officer roles at leading regional hospital systems.  

Collins holds a master’s degree in health care administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a bachelor’s degree in public administration from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
