We’re committed to making Kaiser Permanente a place where every person can grow, contribute, and feel a true sense of belonging.
Equity is the ideal of fairness and justice. Our equity principles serve as guidelines for how we treat one another, reflecting our mission.
Belong@KP, our anti-bias and anti-racism program, gives employees tools to recognize bias in their actions, a broader understanding of systemic racism, and ways to think and act more inclusively.
Belong@KP also provides awareness and knowledge to achieve an unbiased and equitable approach to the recruitment, hiring, development, advancement, and retention of our people.
Our organization reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. In 2022, nearly 69% of our employees were members of racial, ethnic, and cultural minorities and 74% were women.

Our business resource groups help us foster and support an inclusive work environment and advance equity. With thousands of members, our 10 BRGs represent various dimensions of diversity within Kaiser Permanente. BRGs offer connection, mentoring, skill-building, and career and social support. They also support inclusion and belonging by organizing activities like listening sessions and events to honor and celebrate observances that are meaningful to our workforce and communities.
We are often recognized for our efforts and achievements in creating an equitable, inclusive, and diverse work environment. We continually seek opportunities to grow and improve on our journey toward achieving equity and inclusion for our people, members, and communities.
