Commitment to community health and sports excellence

Kaiser Permanente is excited to join the starting lineup of the LA Clippers as the team’s Official Health Care Partner and Official Team Physicians. This 10-year founding-level partnership unites 2 highly valued organizations committed to the health and wellness of our communities. Together, we will enhance the health of Greater Los Angeles residents, as well as Clippers fans, and Kaiser Permanente members.

This partnership reaffirms our steadfast commitment to extending Kaiser Permanente’s medical excellence to more people and enhancing the total health and well-being of the greater Los Angeles area and beyond. This partnership focuses on:  

• Community engagement: The partnership will provide opportunities for the Clippers and Kaiser Permanente to collaboratively design and implement community engagement activities and programs. Moreover, Kaiser Permanente is making a 10-year commitment to organize and fund community health initiatives that address pressing community issues, such as physical health, social and emotional well-being, and education and career opportunities for local youth.
• Medical excellence: The LA Clippers are partnering with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group as their official team physicians. The same world-class physicians who care for professional athletes also provide high-quality medical care and expertise for existing and future Kaiser Permanente members.
• New sports medicine clinic: Kaiser Permanente is delighted to announce that soon we will begin construction of a cutting-edge sports medicine clinic strategically located within the greater Intuit Dome campus, home of the Clippers, to serve our members and the community. It is expected to open in late 2025.

With Kaiser Permanente’s long-standing legacy of service and partnerships with community-based organizations in Los Angeles, we are eager to take to the basketball hard court and expand our efforts with the LA Clippers to ensure a healthier and happier future for professional athletes and residents alike.
