KP Impact for Good programs are tangible examples of Kaiser Permanente's mission to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve. The initiative brings together Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s employee volunteer program, called KPCares, and its employee giving program, called KPGives. Together, these programs give physicians and employees the opportunity to participate in a Programwide effort to directly impact the communities we serve by donating dollars to eligible charities or volunteering their time at organizations of their choice.
Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s KPCares program organizes community service projects throughout the year where physicians and employees can volunteer. We work side by side with organizations to provide technical assistance, volunteers, and our expertise. These efforts support Kaiser Permanente’s mission of improving the health of our communities by connecting our physicians and employees with available opportunities from hands-on volunteering to skills-based opportunities and board-of-directors service.
For organizations interested in hosting Kaiser Permanente volunteers, please complete the Request for Kaiser Permanente Volunteers form and email it to KPImpact4Good@kp.org.
For individuals interested in volunteering in one of Kaiser Permanente's medical centers, contact the Volunteer Services department at your local medical center.
Each year, Kaiser Permanente Northern California hosts various employee giving campaigns through its year-round workplace giving program, KPGives. Every campaign includes a matching contribution from Kaiser Permanente to qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations to maximize giving power and impact in the community. In 2018, Kaiser Permanente Northern California employees and physicians contributed more than $1.7 million to 2,000 different charities.
