Creating healthy communities isn’t a one-size-fits-all effort. Every community has different strengths and needs, so we listen carefully to help address the priorities they identify. We collaborate with communities and organizations to:
We believe that everyone has the power to improve the health of those around them — and the changes we want to see in our community are so broad and deep that no one organization could achieve them alone.
Our formal community health needs assessment process also informs our priorities.
At Kaiser Permanente, our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable health care and improve the health of the communities we serve. We know that total health goes beyond the doctor's office. It goes deep into our communities where people live, work, learn, and play.
Every 3 years we conduct a community health needs assessment to research what health assets and disparities exist in our communities. This research helps us make better decisions about how we support healthy communities across the state of Washington.
