Golden Gate
Kaiser Permanente’s Golden Gate service area includes the City and County of San Francisco, Marin County, and the southern portion of Sonoma County, including the cities of Petaluma and Sonoma. These communities are served by our San Francisco and San Rafael medical centers.
In addition to providing affordable health care and coverage for our members and patients, Kaiser Permanente uses a full range of assets to improve the health of the communities we serve. We provide grants and donations to address identified health needs, sponsorships to support community events and activities, and in-kind donations, as well as employee and physician volunteers.
Community Health Needs Assessment
The Kaiser Permanente Community Health Needs Assessment reports for the San Francisco and San Rafael medical centers are informed by data and input from community partners to identify and address prioritized health needs in the community.

Kaiser Permanente provides charitable contributions to community-based organizations with an emphasis on addressing health and social inequities in the communities we serve.

We partner with community-based organizations to support events and activities that address our identified community health needs and promote healthy lifestyles, education, workforce development, and environmental stewardship.
