Strengthening our Labor Management Partnership

Kaiser Permanente and partnership unions have a long history of working together in a Labor Management Partnership.

As national bargaining continues, Kaiser Permanente and the Alliance of Health Care Unions have a long history of reaching agreement.

For 24 years, Kaiser Permanente and partnership unions have worked together in a labor-management partnership. Jointly led and funded by Kaiser Permanente, the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions, and the Alliance of Health Care Unions, our Labor Management Partnership is the largest and longest running in the U.S.

Over the years, this partnership has helped improve employee engagement, workplace innovation, and performance. It works because it brings together employees, managers, and physicians from all levels of the organization to jointly come up with the best solutions.

In April, Kaiser Permanente and the Alliance of Health Care Unions kicked off national bargaining to create a second national agreement since the alliance, which comprises 22 local unions, formed in 2018. As national bargaining continues, Kaiser Permanente and the Alliance of Health Care Unions have a long history of reaching agreement.

We share a goal to remain a best place to work while offering high-quality, affordable health care to our members. A new national agreement will ensure we continue to successfully work together to help Kaiser Permanente remain competitive, become more affordable, and continue to grow.

We’re proud of the Labor Management Partnership and all that we’ve achieved together.
