Kaiser Permanente and CNA met for a fourth time to negotiate an agreement covering nurses at Los Angeles Medical Center.
This message was sent on July 30, 2026, to CNA-represented nurses at our Los Angeles Medical Center from Marcel Delhommeau, senior vice president, Human Resources, Kaiser Permanente in Southern California and Hawaii, and Joyce Leido, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, chief operating office, Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
Our nurses are at the heart of everything we do — and reaching a new agreement with you is one of our most important priorities right now.
Kaiser Permanente and CNA (the California Nurses Association) have met 4 times, most recently on July 23, 2026, in Pasadena, California, to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement for nurses at our Los Angeles Medical Center. The current agreement expires September 30, 2026.
The sessions have been constructive and respectful, with both parties putting forward initial proposals on a range of topics.

Both sides bring proposals to the table, and it’s common for proposals to be accepted, rejected, or countered — even multiple times — as discussions evolve.
Throughout this process, we remain committed to listening carefully, engaging respectfully, and understanding every issue, while bargaining in good faith on proposals that affect your wages, hours, and working conditions, as the law requires.
Our upcoming bargaining sessions are scheduled for August 7, 14, and 28. We will continue to keep you updated.
