$2 million committed to gun injury prevention research

Kaiser Permanente will fund research studies on how clinicians can help prevent firearm injuries — including suicide, intimate partner violence, and accidents.

As part of its pledge to invest $2 million to prevent gun injuries and death, Kaiser Permanente will fund 3 clinical research studies.

The goal is to understand current best practices, to investigate new ones, and to standardize and share practices that are grounded in evidence and effectiveness across the health care industry.
