More than 1M megawatt-hours of green power a year

Kaiser Permanente won the federal environmental 2019 Green Power Leadership Award for green energy use in its 39 hospitals and more than 700 medical offices.

Wind, solar, and other environmentally friendly electricity sources helped Kaiser Permanente win U.S. Environmental Protection Agency award.

The 2019 Green Power Leadership Award recognizes our major renewable energy agreement that will help enable Kaiser Permanente to become carbon neutral in 2020. Running medical centers and hospitals with clean energy — and reducing utility costs — contributes to our mission to provide high-quality, affordable health care. It not only saves money, it helps improve the health of our communities by reducing environmental causes of illness brought on by poor air quality and other negative health impacts linked to climate change.
