Kaiser Permanente's growing focus on getting good food to people was recognized in a WSJ article. Jan Sanders, Director of National Nutritional services for Kaiser Permanente and I, had the privilege to talk together to the reporter recently. One of our patients is quoted at the beginning of the article. I've met the people who made his food. Some of them have been dedicated to making food for our patients for over thirty years. Now we are giving them local sustainably farmed fruits and vegetables to use. Our new hospital menus showcase what they can do if we simply give them good food with which to work.
