New location increases access to award-winning care for residents of Anne Arundel County and the surrounding areas.
ROCKVILLE, Md. — Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States will open its new North Arundel Medical Center this June in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The new medical center — which replaces the organization’s Severna Park Medical Center — will increase access to Kaiser Permanente’s award-winning health care service to residents of Anne Arundel County and the surrounding communities south of Baltimore.
All current Severna Park Medical Center members will have access to their same providers at the new facility.
Located at 7670 Quarterfield Road, the medical center will house adult and family medicine, ob-gyn, pediatrics, ophthalmology, optometry, an optical shop (eyeglasses and contact lenses), pharmacy, laboratory services and radiology, including general radiology, mammography and bone density.
“Kaiser Permanente is committed to offering convenient access to the highest-quality care and coverage,” said Kim Horn, regional president of Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States. “As we continue to grow throughout Maryland, we’re proud to offer another state-of-the-art location for residents in and near Glen Burnie and the South Baltimore area.”
“Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group physicians provide the highest quality care in the nation,” said Bernadette Loftus, MD, associate executive director of The Permanente Medical Group. “Our award-winning physicians work as a team with a singular focus of delivering exceptional care to our patients.”
Construction on the new North Arundel Medical Center will be completed on June 2, 2017, and the first patient will be seen at the center June 5. The location is easily accessible to I-97 and the Paul T. Pitcher Memorial Highway (Maryland Route 100). The North Arundel Medical Center is approximately a five-minute drive from the current Severna Park Medical Center location.
