Giles promoted to assistant administrator in Hawaii

HONOLULU —  Kaiser Permanente Hawaii announced Andrew Giles has been promoted to assistant administrator for hospital operations and support services. In his new role, Giles will lead multiple departments, including environmental services, food and nutrition services, communications, spiritual care, parking, gift shop operations, and the lift team.

Giles has been with Kaiser Permanente since 2015, serving most recently as the director of environmental services. He served previously as administrator on call for Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center and as the operational project leader for the Maui Health System transition. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Giles was area general manager for Sodexo in Hawaii, providing contract services to hospitals and health care providers throughout the state.

“Andrew’s operational expertise extends across a variety of support services that allow us to deliver positive member experiences every day,” said Ray Hahn, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii. “He’ll continue to play a key role in our mission to provide affordable, high-quality, safe care to our members.”

Giles holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware, and a Master of Business Administration from Chaminade University in Honolulu.
