Dr. Dietzgen, a family medicine physician, will see Kaiser Permanente members at the new Frisco Medical Offices while Dr. Benson, an internal medicine physician, will see Kaiser Permanente members at the new Edwards Medical Offices building.

“We’re pleased these physicians are leading Kaiser Permanente as we expand care and coverage to Coloradans living in the mountain communities,” said Mark Carvalho, MD, vice president of external relations and mountain expansion, Colorado Permanente Medical Group. “The Frisco and Edwards Kaiser Permanente Medical Offices offer patients everything they need to manage their health in one place. I believe mountain community members will be pleased with what Kaiser Permanente and these new care team members have to offer.”

A board certified family medicine physician with more than 16 years of experience, Dr. Dietzgen offers continuing, comprehensive health care for patients of all ages. She obtained her medical doctorate from the Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa and completed her residency at Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital in Tempe, Ariz. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Dietzgen worked as a family medicine physician in New Castle, Colo. and relocated to Phoenix to operate her own private practice. Dietzgen moved back to Colorado recently to be closer to friends, family and all the year-round outdoor activities this state has to offer.

“I believe in developing a lasting relationship with my patients — one built on trust and compassionate care,” said Dr. Dietzgen. “Coming back to Colorado to care for Kaiser Permanente members here in Summit County was a perfect fit. I know I’ll be able to make a connection with my patients for years to come in a place that I love.”

Jeannine Benson, MD,
Edwards Medical Offices

Dr. Benson is a board certified internal medicine physician with more than a decade of experience and offers care to adults of all ages. A Colorado native, Benson obtained her medical doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colo. She completed her residency at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in 2009, Dr. Benson was chief resident for the department of internal medicine for Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

“I’m excited to come up here to the mountain communities to start delivering high-quality care to our members. I’ve seen how our affordable, coordinated, evidence based care can really improve people’s lives,” said Dr. Benson. “At Kaiser Permanente, we have a variety of resources that we use to help people live healthier and happier lives. I cannot wait to start seeing patients out of our new Edwards Medical Offices!”

Kaiser Permanente has also hired a licensed practical nurse for each facility and is currently hiring for additional medical care team positions in the Edwards and Frisco locations. If you are interested in learning more, please visit
