Distinguished doctors join Kaiser Permanente on Maui and Oahu, adding to award-winning staff of more than 600 health care providers in Hawaii.
HONOLULU — Eight distinguished doctors have joined Kaiser Permanente on Maui and Oahu. They add to Kaiser Permanente’s award-winning staff of more than 600 health care providers in Hawaii’s largest medical practice, the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, which serves more than 255,000 members in Hawaii.
David Bacchus, MD, is a pediatrician at the Maui Lani Medical Office. He received his bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of California, Los Angeles and his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He completed his internship at California Pacific Medical Center. He completed a pediatric residency at the Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center and earned a certification from the Permanente Medical Group Leadership Academy. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Cindy Collo, MD, is a pediatrician at the Waipio Medical Office. She received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Drexel University – Hahnemann University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and fluent in Cantonese.
Joseph Hong , MD, is an internist at the Mapunapuna Medical Office on Oahu and chief resident of the Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Residency Program. Dr. Hong earned his bachelor’s degree in neurobiology, physiology and behavior and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis. He received his medical degree from the Thomas Jefferson University Medical College. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the California Pacific Medical Center. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Kaeryn Lewis, MD, is a pediatrician at the Maui Lani Medical Office. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles and her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. She was a resident at the Baylor College of Medicine, and a fellow in pediatric infectious disease at the University of Washington Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is a diplomate of American Board of Pediatrics, infectious disease.
Aileen Tamura , MD, is a hospitalist at the Moanalua Medical Center. She earned her bachelor’s degree in health promotion and disease prevention from the University of Southern California. She received a master’s degree in developmental and reproductive biology from the University of Hawaii, and she earned her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. She served her residency in internal medicine at the University of Hawaii. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Allison Raines, DO, is an emergency medicine physician at Moanalua Medical Office. Dr. Raines received her bachelor’s degree in biology from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. She received her master’s degree in biology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk and earned her medical degree in osteopathic medicine at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg. She served her residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Bethlehem. Dr. Raines is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.
Kuldeep Singh Tagore, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Wailuku Medical Office. Dr. Tagore received his bachelor’s degree in animal physiology and neuroscience. He earned his medical degree from Creighton University and was a resident at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology.
Evone Wong, OD, is an optometrist at Wailuku Medical Office. Dr. Wong earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Creighton University and her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She completed externships at VA-Palo Alto, Eye Center of South Florida and GW Eye Associates. Dr. Wong is board certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
