National Business Group on Health honored Kaiser Permanente with the Best Employers: Excellence in Health and Well-Being award for ninth consecutive year.
As a leader in total health, Kaiser Permanente supports our employees with programs and resources that inspire, encourage, and motivate them to live healthier lives. In fact, for the ninth consecutive year, the National Business Group on Health honored Kaiser Permanente for having one of the best workforce health and well-being programs in the nation.
“We are proud to be recognized by the National Business Group on Health for our commitment to our employees’ overall health and well-being,” said Kaiser Permanente chairman and CEO Bernard J. Tyson. “We continue to build a culture of health within the organization to ensure we walk the talk with our workforce, so they have the resources they need to live healthier lives, similar to what we do with our members and the communities we serve.”
Kaiser Permanente is among only 19 U.S. employers to receive Platinum for the 2019 Best Employers: Excellence in Health and Well-Being award, achieved for recognizing a connection between workforce well-being and key business outcomes, and implementing a strategy with demonstrated results across several dimensions of well-being, including financial, emotional, social, and community well-being. This marks the sixth year Kaiser Permanente has received the highest honor from the National Business Group on Health, a nonprofit association comprised of 440 large U.S. employers that provide health coverage for more than 60 million U.S. workers, retirees, and their families in over 200 countries.
According to Maria Dee, executive director of Workforce Well-Being at Kaiser Permanente, “Our approach here at Kaiser Permanente is to support the overall health and well-being of our workforce by strategically engaging with employees to learn more about what they want in health of mind, body, and spirit.”
