HONOLULU — Kaiser Permanente Hawaii’s commercial plan leads the state in 61 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set® measures of care quality including those for breast and cervical cancer screenings, prenatal care, comprehensive diabetes care, controlling high blood pressure, and childhood immunizations according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance Quality Compass.
Kaiser Permanente Hawaii was also rated in the top 10 health plans nationally for 24 care quality measures, including statin therapy for patients with diabetes, prenatal and postpartum care, breast cancer screening, weight assessment and counseling for nutrition and physical activity for children, and comprehensive diabetes care relating to kidney disease monitoring.
