Mass vaccination events for Colorado schools, 70+ population

DENVER — Kaiser Permanente is kicking off a series of weekend mass vaccination events for Colorado educators, child care workers, and seniors age 70 and above, beginning Saturday, Feb. 13, and Sunday, Feb. 14. The state’s largest nonprofit health plan expects to administer more than 19,000 COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment at 16 medical offices along the Front Range in the first weekend alone. These mass vaccination efforts will be held for several weekends to administer first and second doses to these groups.

Over a 3-week period, at 14 locations, Kaiser Permanente plans to vaccinate more than 50,000 pre-K through12th-grade educators, and child care workers in licensed child care programs. In addition, Kaiser Permanente will open 2 mass vaccination locations Feb. 13 and 14 for Coloradans age 70 and above, with the goal of vaccinating more than 6,000 seniors in those 2 days.

Here is a full list of the Kaiser Permanente mass vaccination locations for Colorado educators, child care workers, and people age 70 and above:

Kaiser Permanente will have more than 400 staff members and volunteers administering vaccinations and assisting in nonclinical roles across 16 locations. These mass vaccination locations will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

People who are eligible to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at these mass vaccination events will receive invitations by email, text, or letter to make an appointment — no walk-ins will be allowed. In the coming weeks, Kaiser Permanente will also be providing the second doses to people who were vaccinated at these events.

Kaiser Permanente is committed to the equitable distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. To date, the organization has administered more than 40,000 doses to Coloradans and has capacity to administer more than 50,000 COVID-19 doses each week. The organization will continue to follow all state guidelines for vaccine rollout to other phases.
