We welcome Xavier Becerra’s confirmation as secretary of Health and Human Services. Critical work remains immediately ahead in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, and there is much more to do in the coming years to improve health care quality, access, and affordability. We look forward to working with Secretary Becerra and his incoming leadership team to ensure that everyone in the United States has access to high-quality, affordable health care services and coverage, building on the progress of the Affordable Care Act, implementing the American Rescue Plan Act, and achieving greater equity in our nation’s health care system.
